Look who’s entered London’s high society.

Following the success of the first Bridgerton series on Netflix, which has been watched for a cumulative 625 million hours by more than 82 million accounts worldwide, making it the most popular series on Netflix to date, the Shondaland series has already started teasing a post-Regé-Jean Page era.

Netflix has released the first sneak peak into season 2 of the Bridgerton. In a bunch of pictures that have sparked a frenzy on social media, we get a look at Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) in an encounter with Kate Sharma (Sex Education‘s Simone Ashley), his meddlesome love interest in the coming season.

We are meeting the Sharma’s, who make their entrance to the proper London society, including Shelley Conn as Mary Sharma and new face Charithra Chandran as Kate’s younger sister Edwina.

Kate’s character is said to be a smart and stern new arrival in London. She “suffers no fools” and Anthony is very much involved. Those who’ve read the book will be familiar with the way conflict will arise, as the chemistry between Anthony and Kate disrupts the plan for Anthony to marry Edwina.

The photos also contain Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgeton, Claudia Jessie as Eloise, Bailey as Anthony and Luke Thompson as Benedict.

Bridgerton has already been renewed for a third series and fourth series, with a spinoff already in the works.
