‘The Bachelorette SA’ Episode 9 – Who Has Most Chemistry with Qiniso?

The men ponder on who might be the most compatible with Qiniso.

Published

on

There’s only a handful of men left in The Bachelorette SA mansion. And with the night of Qiniso’s final selection impending, it’s becoming a little bit clearer which of the guys our bachelorette vibes with the most. During last night’s episode (Thursday, 08 April, at 19:30), the eight men remaining realised they might need to switch it to win over Qiniso’s heart. Or go back home and try again, on Tinder.

With Dylan leaving, the mood in the mansion shifted, and it was time to either get really close with Qiniso or go home. This episode was filled with emotion and some introspection from the men.

‘THE BACHELORETTE SA’ S1 EPISODE 9 HIGHLIGHTS

JASON PROBING THE MEN

The guys received a surprise visit from Jason, who wanted to see where the men were at. He asked them who they think has the strongest connection with Qiniso. Vuyani and Cameron both said Aviwe, while Peter said Cameron. He then opened up about how Cameron made him feel “unpleasant emotions” whenever he sees him with her.

After Henk went with Gareth, Peter seemed happy that none of them saw him as a contender, as he feels it is an advantage for him.

THE COMPATIBILITY CHALLENGE

Jason handed the men a date card, which was a compatibility challenge group date.

All eight men had to find out if they have more of a deeper connection with Qiniso besides the physical and trivial attractions and traits. This was a game designed to make the men answer truthfully and see if they shared the same ideals as Q.

The men were strapped to vertical beds on a field and were given chalkboards to write down their answers to Q’s hard-hitting questions. The one who was the furthest from her answer would have their bed pushed down and would be eliminated.

Henk was surprisingly the first to bow out. He was then followed by Ruan, Justin, Peter, Aviwe, and then Vuyani. It was down to Cameron and Gareth, and Gareth just narrowly won the challenge, earning him a one-on-one date with Qiniso.

THE PIZZA DATE

Gareth went on a really intimate and fun date with Qiniso, where they got to build their own pizzas. The date began very playful and turned into something where they both began to open up. Gareth revealed that he started to really fall for her and that he had not felt that way about someone in a very long time.

THE HARD QUESTIONS

The rest of the men were left to chill with each other at the mansion, where they begin to really probe each other about how compatible they felt they were with her.

They then went on to tell Vuyani how aggressive Peter was to him, after he was taken out of the game instead of Vuyani. Something Vuyani was surprised by.

Henk and Ruan admitted that they were not quite ready to be engaged yet, something that rubbed Peter the wrong way.

As the day turned into night, the guys were waiting for Gareth to return from his date, but what they got instead was Jason, who delivered another date card, but it was not a card that they wanted to hear. It read, “Two men, one rose, one stays, one goes.” And those two men were Peter and Vuyani.

This bombshell left the episode on a cliffhanger. Who will go home, and who will stay to continue to fight for Qiniso’s heart?

Survivor SA Immunity Island Ep 6 Recap – Dino Sent Packing

The 7th elimination this season.

Published

on

A third tribe shuffle, life-saving rescues, an act of kindness and abominable Wild Coast weather dominated Episode 6 of Survivor South Africa: Immunity Island, with the drama culminating in paranoid puzzle guru Dino becoming the seventh Castaway to be sent packing by his tribe on tonight’s (8 July) episode.

Last week’s double Tribal Council had stirred up strong feelings at both tribes, with Zamba’s Shaun hoping his rant about the raided machete made Vuna feel guilty and Santoni finding a new nemesis in Wardah over the former’s role in sending her alliance mate Carla, home.

At Vuna, Tyson was feeling like an outcast after having to play his Immunity Idol to save himself.

This week’s Reward Challenge promised tea, coffee, rusks and pastries for the winning tribe – an even more welcome reward with rain lashing the freezing Castaways as they prepared to dive into a turbulent river to retrieve puzzle pieces.

The rough weather and strong currents soon had Anela and then Santoni in serious trouble for Zamba, with Chappies diving into the water twice to help both of them across to the shore. He also proved his commitment to his tribe as he returned to the water three times to retrieve extra puzzle pieces.

While his heroics had his tribemates in tears of gratitude, they weren’t enough to stop Vuna from sweeping to victory. An offer to share the reward with Zamba led to more tears at Vuna as the Castaways returned to their respective camps to shelter from the dire weather.

A debate at Vuna over who to send across to Zamba with the food saw with an overly eager Dino’s offer vetoed by Anesu, in particular, with Marisha selected to make the trip instead. She duly delivered a selection of snacks and tea to Zamba, also returning the machete they’d claimed during their raid, to smooth things over.

The Immunity Challenge kicked off with the three words from Nico that always throw the game into disarray: ‘drop your buffs’. Tyson, Kiran, Santoni, Wardah, Dino, Qiean and Anela all found green paint in their calabashes to form the new Zamba, while Renier, Amy, Marisha, Nicole, Shaun, Chappies and Anesu landed in orange Vuna. The shuffle reunited Renier, Amy, Marisha and Nicole from the original Zamba, while Tyson was grateful to retain alliance partner Kiran and Chappies was delighted to return ‘home’.

The Castaways tackled the challenge as new tribes, but old alliances shone through brightly as Renier and Anela shared information during their tussle. Despite the shuffle, Vuna triumphed again and duly sent Anela to Immunity Island. There, he opted to ‘stay & play’ but couldn’t beat the sands of time, securing immunity from the immediate vote but losing his right to vote at the next Tribal Council he participates in.

As the shuffled tribes returned to camp, Chappies celebrated his ‘homecoming’ to Vuna by running around and whooping with joy, before stripping down and diving into the ocean, while Renier and Amy marked the occasion by affirming their long-standing alliance.

At Zamba, Santoni told Tyson she helped save him by relaying the clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol he subsequently found at Vuna. Thinking quickly, he applied the same knowledge at his new home and uncovered his second Hidden Immunity Idol of the game, right in front of Santoni – who couldn’t believe she hadn’t thought to do the same.

Conversations hatched all over camp as Tyson and Kiran decided to go against their word and vote out ‘flip-flopping’ Santoni, before Tyson had a change of heart and – having weighed up the numbers ahead of a looming merge – decided that Dino should be the one to go.

Feeling insecure despite assurances, Santoni revealed to Tyson and Kiran that she has an Idol. The trio set about trying to convince a riled-up Wardah to vote out Dino, but she was hesitant to take her eye off her list of targets.

Indeed, at Tribal Council, Wardah takes aim at Anela about the Carla vote, with a war of words ensuing as the rest of the tribe looked on, bemused. Santoni duly proved Dino’s statement that he has never had a plan, correct, as she played her Hidden Immunity Idol to nullify the two votes against her, with four against Dino’s name enough to send him home.

Survivor South Africa: Immunity Island airs Thursdays at 19:30 on M-Net (channel 101)

Too Hot To Handle Season 2

Netflix has heard our call and answered promptly!

The streaming service brought back the reality series ‘Too Hot To Handle’ for the second season after the immense success of the first instalment.

The reality show follows contestants from around the world that are placed on an island to see if they can fight off the impulse to act on their desires. And, did we mention that everyone is drop-dead gorgeous?

RELATED NEWS: NETFLIX’S TOO HOT TO HANDLE DELIVERS ON STEAMY SCENES

In the first season, 14 singles were tasked with resisting the temptation of dating the houseguests. With most challenges in the no-dating-show involving shirtless heartthrobs and scantily clad ladies, everyone had their work cutout for them.

Some of the rules of engagement involved no kissing, no self-gratification or any kind of hanky-panky. Failure to heed these rule will see the contestants lose out on cashing in the $100,000 prize.

This time around, Netflix will premiere the first four episodes on June 23, while the remaining six episodes will go live on June 30.

Here’s a teaser of what to expert in this season of Too Hot To Handle:
