eTV Scandal! Exodus Continues – List of All the Actors that Left
Check out all the actors that left eTV Scandal!
eTV’s Scandal! signalled it’s intent to move in a different direction with a new storyline by getting rid of some of the marquee actors and actresses on the show. The drama series shifted its focus from the many filler subplots to introduce a new family in town.
In retrospect, it seemed like the writers had hit a dead end after exhausting different plot lines for some of our faves. Case in point was the handling of Hungani Ndlovu’s exit from the soapie. His first disappearance suggested that we hadn’t seen the last of the actor until Romeo re-emerged out of nowhere…only to die thereafter.
Some of Ndlovu’s highlights include outsmarting the most cunning of adversaries in Kgomotso Christopher’s character, Yvonne ‘YV’ Langa and Neo Mokgethi.
The writers quickly filled the gap by shining the spotlight on Lusanda Mbane’s character, Boniswa Langa. This move gave the impression that she would be the new lead, as new cast members Mamba and Gorbachev were introduced to add more range and drama around her.
It seems like we’ve seen the last of Mlungisi Ngema, played by Patrick Mofokeng on Scandal! The same fate that befell Romeo happened to him as well. Death by river!!!
His onscreen wife, Gcina Nkosi who reprises the role of Zinzile Ngema may also be moving on as a result. It is still yet to be confirmed, however, all evidence points towards that direction.
Brighton Ngoma also bid farewell to his character Quinton Nyathi after 10 years on the show. His exit gave viewers a glimpse of what to expect from the Kubeka family. While a freak accident may have taken his life, it showed just how resourceful the family was at evading the law and getting away with murder.
It was not too long ago when we were celebrating his marriage to Thembeka Shezi (Masasa Mbangeni). Masasa returned to the soapie only to be brutally murdered by arch-nemesis, Mthunzi Mayisa a few months later.
Who’s Leaving eTV Scandal! Next?
It is rumoured that Lerumo Chabedi (Tshepo Masese) and his father Neo Mokgethi (Jerry Mofokeng wa Makhetha) will be killed off the show in the next few weeks. No doubt that the new family will have something to do with it. Lerumo has been investigating the death of Quinton that has led him to the trail of the Kubekas. It remains to be seen what happens next.
The remaining Langas may also be ushered out of the story based on current events. Xolile Langa, who is brought to life by Sivenathi Mabuya will exit the show and will be followed by Bathabile Mashigo (Grace Medupe). Seems like her final act was to kill Boniswa. After selling her shares at the Newtonian Hotel, she will disappear from the show.
Catch all of this and more on the latest episodes of Scandal! which air on e.tv from Mondays to Fridays at 19h30.

The New Family in Town Arrives on Scandal!
oKhathide mask their dirt and parade their wealth on the daily drama.
Fana Mokoena leads the arrival of a stellar cast consisting of new arrivals in the world of Scandal!
Tonight, Friday, 3 September, marks the beginning of a new journey, and hopefully a new current of fresh storylines as the Kubeka’s enter the frame to stir up chaos and bring heat to the popular eTV daily drama.
Mokoena is joined by Slindile Nodangala, Wendy Gumede and Sihle Ndaba to offset Boniswa Langa’s explosive demise. They are coming with a closet full of dark secrets and sinister motives.
Vukile (Fana Mokoena) is a charisma-tron with heaps of wealth and the perfect dose of humour to enhance his appeal. With a dark past, there are chances he parades this magnetic display to mask a side to him we will soon encounter. Vukile wants to grow a legacy for his family and create generational wealth through the family-owned waste business with his wife, Nomvula. Being a doting family man, he intends to do everything needed to keep his family united.
Vukile’s wife, played by none other than Slindile Nodangala, goes by the name of Nomvula Kubeka. Nomvula is strategic in business and family relations and complemented by her “fixer” tendencies, she uses her cunning abilities to manipulate any situation. She’s equal to her husband but won’t argue with him in public. She is quick to adapt to the demands of any issue at hand and keeps her cards close to her chest.
The Kubeka’s have 3 kids, Jojo, Dudu and Zenzele. Jojo who is played by Melusi Mbele is dedicated to the growth of the business and prides himself on being an honest man. He is married to Mbali, also known as Lady M, played by Nolwazi Ngubeni and is the complete opposite of her husband. She (Lady M) is from a snobbish family who did not approve of her nuptials to Melusi.
Dudu, played by Sihle Ndaba is a business graduate. She is cool-headed and lives for the family? business, often sacrificing her heart and freedom in the process. She is tough and always in control, believing she is the only one of the siblings equipped to run the company.
The last born, Zenzele is played by Robert Mpisi and being the youngest, he has only known a “soft life”. He is hot-headed, impulsive and a risk-taker.
As much as the Kubeka’s live an orderly and almost perfect life, there is an underlying secret that could tarnish this image. Vukile has a concubine. Enter Rachel – a cashier at the waste management company. Her role is played by Wendy Gumede. Rachel is the total opposite of Nomvula, she’s endearing, warm and friendly and very easy to fall in love with, something Vukile found hard to resist.
Scandal! airs on eTV every weekday at 19:30.
