Castle Lite Unlocks In Bed With Stogie T, Bas & Rouge

With the extension of the lockdown, the Castle Lite Unlocks In Bed With series is starting to pick up steam with new episodes coming through thick and fast. The premium beer brand announced that the show has been commissioned to stream live every week until the end of the lockdown period. With the first episode gaining so much traffic, it only made sense to keep the party going. The live stream performances are hosted by Sway Calloway, an avid hip hop head if there was ever one.
Wednesday’s episode will be Sway’s final gig as host on the show, and he is going out with a bang. His guests include SA hip hop legend Stogie T, lyricist of note Rouge & Grammy-award-nominated rapper Bas. The American is no stranger to the South African hip hip scene. He brought his Milky Way tour to Mzansi shores back in 2018.

The 32-year-old rapper is currently signed to J Cole’s Dreamville Records and all of his last three albums earned him a place in the Billboard Top 200 entries as well as certified Gold-selling singles. Bas now brings South African fans an exclusive performance live on Wednesday night.
The rap queen, Rouge was scheduled to perform alongside Cardi B before the COVID-19 pandemic struck. The Joburg-based rapper brings her ice-cold bars and a musical ability that has seen her rise to the top of the Hip-Hop charts year after year. Her performance will provide a teaser for fans to see what to expect in the postposed Castle Lite Unlocks experience concert. The annual show will now take place on the 5th of December 2020 and will still be headlined by Cardi B.

The last performer will be Stogie T. The rap icon will bring to the show some of his rap gymnastics that he has cultivated over a 15-year career. Stogie T has been sharpening his repertoire of skills of late, using the Freestyle Friday series to keep the culture moving forward.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are in for a treat. Disney+ has announced that 1 February marks the arrival of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” The blockbuster will be joining 16 other on the streaming platform.

Their discography packs both blockbuster club bangers and lush delights for lovers of House with a transcendental African sonic flair. And the explosive fallout of Black Motion, which has been splashed across the internet long before reaching the courts, has shocked many.
Loved for their electrifying live performances and awe-inspiring chemistry, Mörda and Smol have always seemed like musical soulmates. But that relationship seems to have reached a bitter end.
In 2022, rumours of their reported split triggered a frenzy on the internet. Following the uproar, the group’s members Bongani Mohosana, who now goes as Mörda, and Smol (real name Roy Thabo Mabogwane), jointly calmed fears that they had fallen out.
It had been said the break would be temporary, as Mörda moved to focus on the release of his solo studio album.
Far from it, it now seems. The parties have escalated things to court.
According to reports, Black Motions have confirmed that they had pressed charges against Mörda for alleged housebreaking and theft.
A court order by the High Court in Gauteng posted on social media has ordered Morda to “restore possession of a recording studio apparatus” to the group by 13 January, at 5pm.
Black Motion shared snaps of the alleged damage caused by Morda – a broken door and stolen equipment.
