South African rappers Big Zulu, Kwesta, Stilo Magolide, Zakwe and Youngsta CPT dodged flying bullets when a shooting incident took place at a taping for Big Zulu’s ‘Ama Million’ music video, Daily Sun reported.

The set quickly became a terrifying scene when allegedly, a gang of criminals charged the famed musos in Westbury, Johannesburg, on Friday. Two community members were reportedly shot at.

The collaborative collective were tossing around some rand notes as part of the creative direction for the visuals of the hit single when things took a plunge for the unexpected worst.

The throng of robbers grabbed the money and fled. When the crew attempted chasing them to demand the cash back, knives were brandished in their faces.

It is then someone on their team fired shots in the air, scaring the robbers, who then brought back their possessions. “We narrowly escaped death”, shared Big Zulu to the tabloid.

The paper, however, quoted one of the residents who claimed to have been shot and wounded in the arm.

A case of attempted murder has since been opened at the Sophiatown police station.
