The swirling of questions  and overactive speculation around the nature of his relationship with Ambitiouz Entertainment has ended;  Emtee on Wednesday confirmed his departure from the label.

The rapper, who was one of a few top acts remaining with the music label, set the record straight in a post shared on his social media platforms.

“This is a decision I did not take lightly”, he wrote in the lengthy note. However, once his mind was made up about cutting ties with the label, Emtee initiated the process with his legal team, who later found no contractual obligation tying him down to Ambitiouz Entertainment.

The Manando hitmaker, who recently debuted a new collaborative banger with Rouge, promised fans that he will be communicating details of the next chapter in due season.

The announcement will not surprise fans, who lobbied behind petitions for Emtee to be ‘freed’ from the label. Two months ago, the 26 year old rapper had been tweeting cryptic messages, one which polled his followers on whether or not he should be liberated.

Emtee is the latest in a bevy of artists who left the label with strife. The likes of Fifi Cooper, A Reece and amongst others Amanda Black, all had highly publicised and complicated exits.
