Tshego Joins Universal Music, Eyes Pink Panther Album Premiere

The Pink era finally takes shape as Tshego reveals release date for the long awaited Pink Panther album after signing to Universal Music

“This music journey is so much bigger than just the artist”, Tshego told QuenchSA back in 2016 in a very frank interview. Three years later, that journey has detoured and led to new highs for the Rnb singer, who recently became a father.

In a fresh scoop that has delighted fans, the Garden hitmaker has inked a record deal with Universal Music Group Africa, joining a bevy of successful contemporaries.

This ‘elite roaster’ features recent signees including Cassper Nyovest – to whom he was previously signed under Family Tree, as well as Nasty C and Tellaman.

Tshego debuted the first Pink Panther single, No Ties, featuring King Monada, on Metro FM

The signing comes with two other major developments; The 29 year old thrilled fans when he teased snippets of a new single, No Ties, featuring King Monada. The track has been earmarked for a Friday debut on July 26th.

While he already boasts  a slew of singles fashioning his colourful catalogue, No Ties is also confirmed to be the first single from his long (long, long) awaited album, Pink Panther. The single got its first airplay on Metro FM with Mo Flava.

Affectionately known as the ‘Pink Panther’, Tshego has made the colour a staple in his branding. Born in Atlanta, Georgia to South African parents, he later moved to Mahikeng where he started writing his own music at the age 13 and by the time he was 16 had taught himself how to produce.

Originally performing under the name Shag the gorilla, Tshego gained nationwide attention with the release of Hennessy in 2016 followed by other hits such as Garden, The Vibe along with a number of collaborations with Cassper Nyovest, Gemini Major and Nadia Nakai.
