Also known as Queen B, Bonang Matheba has curated one of the most distinguishable lux brands in South Africa. The 29 year old media personality juggles various gigs, including a popular slot on Metro FM (‘The Front Row’), Top Billing and Afternoon Express (both on SABC 3).
In addition to these steady paycheques, Matheba is also the brand ambassador for global mega brands Revlon, Ciroc , Brazilian footwear brand Ipanema, as well as a lingerie line at Woolworths.
She bagged R500 000 when she replaced Trevor Noah as an MTV African Music Awards host in earlier this year.

9. DJ BLACK COFFEE
He is one of the biggest house music producers South Africa has seen.
And now that he’s gaining solid global relevance, Black Coffee has joined the list of South African celebrities who are making money in several currencies around the world.
The ‘We Dance Again‘ hitmaker, who is also the founder of Soulistic Records – a music label that has housed some of the biggest house music DJs and producers like Culoe De Song, DJ Shimza and Da Capo amongst others, is cashing big money from his hectic international touring schedule.
Mr. Coffee’s total net worth is currently estimated at $1.5 million. That’s over R20 million!
8. DJ SBU
DJ Sbu is one of South Africa’s most dynamic entertainers and entrepreneurs.
The 37 year old has done everything from churning multi platinum selling albums, hosting some of the country’s most popular radio shows, jumping on some of the highest rated television shows, starting his own successful record label (TS Records) and then eventually putting on shelves his very own beverage – MoFaya.
Perhaps also the most controversial name on this list, Sbu has said that his brand alone is already worth R1 billion. He has also made it no secret that will stop at nothing to actually become one.
In the meantime however, DJ Sbu’s net worth is estimated at R22 million.
7. CASSPER NYOVEST
Following his unprecedented success as the first South African rapper to single handedly sell out The Dome, and then later reportedly move over 90% of the seats at his Orlando Stadium concert, Cassper’s net worth has been a point of much interest to fans.
The 26 year old multi platinum selling rapper and entrepreneur has claimed to be broke after The Dome concert, while at other points hinting that his endorsement deal with MTN is the biggest music endorsement deal the network has inked with an artist in SA.
Although never confirmed, some reports have estimated the deal to be well worth over R10 million.
Cassper has piled on other deals including KFC, AG Mobile and MTN (with whom he partnered for his cellphone) and BP.
In addition to these, the rapper is the founder and CEO of his record label Family Tree, which he started in 2014. Family Tree houses some of the country’s biggest rappers, a list that includes the likes of Gemini Major, Tshego and Nadia Nakai.
It doesn’t end there; Nyovest has been making a killing from his Cassper Nyovest merchandise, which he brings along to all his live shows.
On top of the album sales, Cassper’s release of his live concert DVD from The Dome is sure to also rake in some pretty decent dough.
While all of this suggests that the Ayeye hitmaker is making a killing, Cassper Nyovest has been careful to keep the real figures under wraps. Reports are currently placing his balance to be anywhere between R30 million and just less than R50 million currently.
6. TREVOR NOAH
If reports from various trusted sources are anything to go by, Trevor Noah is currently South Africa’s highest earning comic export.
The 32 year old comedian, who famously replaced Jon Stewart as the newest host of American television show The Daily Show, invoices R 3 million for a hour private gig. And according to Destiny Magazine, that amount excludes accommodation, flights and his entourage. The funnyman currently juggles about 5 shows a week
Although MTV was willing to pay him far more than that for his hosting duties at the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards, Noah could still afford to pull out due to a throat infection.
That’s okay. In addition to his gig on The Daily Show, for which the previous host earned $25 million, Trevor has also been selling out international comedy shows.
According to Celebrity NetWorth, he is currently worth over R40 million.

Jamie is one of the country’s most critically acclaimed actors. He is most famous for his portrayal of a David Genaro on eTV soapie Scandal! Bartlett takes home an average of R120 000 a month, and is reported to be R80 million deep in the bank.
4. SELLO MAAKE KA NCUBE
He’s one of South Africa’s most critically acclaimed actors, and has a bank balance to prove it. Sello is the highest paid actor in the country, with a charge ranging between R100 000 and R120 000 per month, depending on the production. Sello’s net worth is estimated to be between R70 million and R100 million.
3. SHARLTO COPLEY
Toprichests.com estimates Sharlto Copley’s net worth to be at R177 million. Although he is not as commonly known in South Africa, the 49 year old actor, producer and director has done some pretty big things in his impressive career. Some of his acclaimed work has been represented at the Cannes Film Festival, while he boasts some work in commercials and music videos.
Copley is most noted for his roles on Oscar nominated District 9, The A Team, Elysium, horror flick Europa Report as well as starring on Maleficent. He has also appeared on the film Chappie, and on television series Powers.

Candice makes most of her money from her contract with Victoria’s Secret, but also cashes in on beauty endorsement deals.
