Your evenings are about to be one eye candy lighter as Gadaffi, played by actor Vuyo Dabula, has been confirmed to be on his way out of Generations The Legacy. Dabula, who joined the reboot cast nearly 7 months ago, has decided to part ways with the long time running SABC 1 soapie to “pursue” other interests” (where have we heard that one before?).

The announcement comes hot on the heels of another big firing session which devastated fans in recent weeks. Amongst those who were relieved of their duties are Denise Zimba and Asanda Foji, whose departures were also initially because other interests had to be pursued, although Foji admitted her axing was a blindside. More suitcases are expected as more contracts face uncertainty. Speaking to Times LIVE, Gaaratwe Mokheti – the show’s publicity manager – revealed that several contracts will not be getting another run.

“Our biggest loyalty is in advancing the story and keeping our viewers entertained and that’s the reason we keep introducing new and fresh stories,” she promised.
