Zola 7 Looks For Your Lost Dad In New Reality Show

Bonginkosi ‘Zola’ Dlamini stars in a brand new docu-reality series Utatakho which debuts on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) on Tuesday, July 7 at 19:30. He takes on the roles of mediator and investigator in a journey of genetic discovery and absent fatherhood. Here’s more.

Move over Khumbul’Ekhaya, a new show grounded on the premise of unearthing genetic fugitives and paternal denialists is in the works. And when it comes to resolving family conflict, no one has more experience than Zola, whose run  on The Zola 7 Show back in the day involved quite a bit of ducking blows during some intense family dramas.

Well after a long hiatus, Bonginkosi ‘Zola’ Dlamini returns to the small screen in new reality show called Utatakho. The show will see Zola embark on a search for absent fathers as he plays host and mediator. The show will also be using DNA tests in an attempt to “bring resolution and understanding to the difficult topic of absent fathers”.

Speaking to TV Plus Magazine about the show, Zola couldn’t help but express his excitement at being part of a production that tackles a problem that he says is “close to my heart”. The 13 part series is set to debut on the telly on the 7th of July on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161 at 19:30.
