Media personality turned DJ Lerato Kganyago will be soon adding ‘talk show host’ to her every expanding resume. Kganyago has been bagged for a new talk show called Moments on Ebony Lifestyle TV, as arch rival Bonang Matheba gets ditched for the gig due to conflict of interest.

Months before the channel decided to rope in the bubbly presenter’s talents, they had been in talks with Matheba about presenting the show, which would have exposed her to eight African countries.

On one condition though.

Sunday World reports that the Queen B was asked to leave her job as a host on SABC 3’s Afternoon Express to avoid working for competition, but she refused. Seeing that the latter looks like a more lucrative venture for the star, who has has made it known that she seeks to wedge inroads into the rest of the continent, why the hesitation?

Well it’s simple. One, SABC wouldn’t allow her to cuddle up to the enemy again. A huge chunk of her employment comes from SABC. Top Billing, Metro FM and Afternoon Express are all SABC productions. You don’t wanna upset the boss. Secondly, authorities at the Ebony Life TV channel were not about to take the high road.

And the winner? Lerato Kganyago. Congrats Gel
