We never doubted Mrs. Sebotsane’s talent. We always knew that she was one of the best actresses in the South African television industry. In fact her performance on Friday 6 February 2015 proved that we may have underestimated her potential.
For over a decade, we’ve been following Shoki’s acting career from Muvhango, Rhythm City, and Mfolozi Street among others, and although she captivated viewers with her talent but we must say the character she plays on Skeem Saam stands out of all her previous television roles.
Celia Kunutu, the character portrayed by Shoki is one of the many exhilarating characters on Skeem Saam. Not only is Celia unique and captivating because of the language she uses to spice up her lines, but she’s also vibrant.
The fact that Skeem Saam has plenty of location shoots should be commendable. Now everyone knows how fast Celia runs. “Racheleeeeeeeeeeee!,” screams Celia. We couldn’t miss that part. It was one of the most mesmerizing moments of that episode.
And oh! We didn’t forget the verbal altercation that was close to escalating into a fist fight between maNtuli and maKunutu. For a moment, we were sure that Celia was going to pull a minister Lindiwe Sisulu stunt and give maNtuli blue eyes.
Dude, Cassper Nyovest Is Living His Best Life Right Now
Here’s the essential round up of Cassper Nyovest’s super life
If we were to churn out a new article each and every time Cassper Nyovest hogs the headlines and causes pandemonium, it would start looking weird. So we’ve sort of decided it’s okay to basically have everything that has happened in the last days grouped together in a way that makes sense for sanity.
In the last week, the rapper purchased a Bentley and posted a snap on Instagram because splurging on an new expensive ride wouldn’t be as much fun if you didn’t show it off. And as expected, that was quite a shock to the nation and provided something to kill time for over active anti social media enthusiasts.
Equally startling, however, was a diss track aimed at him from Chad Da Don, who was once inseparable with the stadium filling rapper. We are now finding out that they both fell out and Cassper owes him rent. That was bizarre. Especially when the ponytail King premiered the Bentley on the same day.
Nyovest also released Super Ex, an emotional song in which he pours his heart out about his break up from Boity. Turns out Amanda Du Pont cheated, if the song is anything to go by.
But Cassper’s unveiling of his very own cellphone on Tuesday takes the cake, we must say. The cellphone is collaboration between Cassper Nyovest and AG Mobile.
To seal the deal this week, he went from the press conference at the MTN headquarters straight to airport as part of his trip to the US, where he will be performing, giving a lecture and reportedly, shooting a music video.
Here’s Some Stuff You Really Didn’t Know About Priddy Ugly
Here’s everything you need to know about Richardo Moloi aka Priddy Ugly ahead of his performance at Maftown Heights
Some of you may have never heard of Priddy Ugly, but his thriving fan base is so dedicated to seeing his young musical success through so much that they made sure he is one of three extra acts who get added on to the Maftown Heights music fest happening this Friday. And not only that, the 24 year old has been working on his grind for years on the ground as a relentless teenage over achiever.
Clearly, he is not just a pretty face.
The ‘Coccaine Ghost’ rapper has been navigating his way up the South African music ranks, with collaborations that include the likes of AKA and LA based producer Tiago, amongst others.
Real name Richardo Moloi, the young artist was actually born in Luanda, Angola but was raised in Meadowlands, Soweto before moving to Kempton Park. It is during his childhood that Priddy’s career first began, first with a run at the Moroka Swallows Acedemy at the age of 13. He moved on from that to pursue dance, and ended up winning the best male dancer gong at the St. Peters National Dance Tournament.
But this was just the beginning. He followed these relentless pursuits with something else closer to what he nows aims to be – hip hop. He joined the Freeze Frame, a hip hop dance crew. There, he continued with his winning streak, winning some prestigious feats in that field. He also made the SA National Athletics team specialising in 100m and 200m long jump events.
Unfortunately, his sporting career was cut very short after he developed knee tumors at 15.
It is in 2010 that his musical career finally began, as he took on the name Priddy Ugly and released a mixtape.
