It’s a phenomenal time to be me. God and my ancestors came together for me and blessed me with something so wonderful! I’m pregnant!😆🤰🏾💁🏽‍♀️ I won’t lie! I’m shoooook! Haha! 😆 I always thought I was cool 🤣😋… and now to find out that I’m having twins makes me even cooler! I am carrying Hip and Hop 😋🤣 This is the most beautiful time of my life. Most precious. The scariest and the most exciting. I’m completely vulnerable and sensitive. I’m excited! I’m nervous but all that goes away when I feel weird little “gas bubbles” which I now know are little kicks because I’m carrying life. A reminder of the miracle and wonder that is God. ❤️ As “personalities”/“celebrities”, we are selfishly required to share every moment in our lives and when we don’t, we have people around us that we think we can trust, who gladly do it for us wether it hurts/compromises us and those we love or not. We constantly have vultures flying above us ready to share our private lives in the most non-emotional manner ever. You may forget but all I am is Human. Flesh and blood and nothing will ever change that and yes, my life is your entertainment, I get that, but try walk a mile in my shoes. The most important thing for me has been protecting my family, my persons family, his beautiful children and respecting tradition. My silence has had everything to do with making sure that everyone who matters has their moment with this, that they feel everything, from shock to happiness to curiosity to excitement, ALL OF IT, Alone, Without the rest of the country pitching in, hounding them/adding commentary/calling or harassing them etc. Its a beautiful time, it’s a sacred time, it’s OUR time. I am BEAMING! Here’s to LOVE. Here’s to forever with the greatest gifts of them all. P.S If you see me in the streets, please don’t touch my tummy… I will punch you in the throat! 😃😘 K thanks byeeeee ❤️🌻😍😃😇🤰🏾💁🏽‍♀️ 📸: @aust_malema 💃🏾: @siya_weloveher 💋: @preciousxabamakeup #LootLoveSquared👑

Also, she’s pregnant with twins, which “makes me cooler”, so there’s that.

The Media personality surprised fans when she shared the pictures of her sporting a baby bump on her Instagram page. The discernibly joyous mom to be has two cute faces drawn on her tummy for the twins, which she’s playfully referring to as Hip and Hop respectively.

Lootlove has been seeing Hip Hop artist Reason for a minute now, and the two have kept their romance below the radar and out of the press. That hasn’t stopped fans and celebrities from congratulating the couple on their looming bundles of joy!

Congrats Lootlove and Reason!

She’s one of the hardest working women in the South African creative industry, and there’s no shred of doubt that a lot of hard work goes into juggling the many projects Thando Thabethe dabbles in.

But, Thabooty ruffled feathers when on Wednesday, the multi hyphenate media personality and entrepreneur was ensnared in the throes of a public counter-blast following her tweets on the persistent #OpenUpTheIndustry movement.

Thando, who feels that she’s “worked very hard” to get where she is, does not believe that there’s any capacity for her to open anything up, especially seeing she does not really call the shots. “I will be damned before I’m told to open up the industry!!!”, she wrote.

“Open it up for yourself like all of us did!!! To this day… I audition!!! I’ve worked very hard to get where I am…and I’m only just getting started.”

The actress followed with many more tweets expanding on her sentiment.

Black Twitter opened up the floodgates on Sunday to release a furore of attacks directed at TVs Nomzamo Mbatha for taking a picture with former 999 head Arthur Mafokate. Both were in attendance at the ANC’s election manifesto launch in Durban on Saturday where the picture was taken. The backlash was sparked in relation to the actress’ Cosmopolitan Magazine cover for the Activist issue. At the time when the issue dropped, there was much uproar in the Twitter streets as tweeps were of the opinion that she wasn’t deserving to grace the cover.

Twitter objected to Nomzamo’s picture, seemingly all smile with Arthur who has a history of women abuse.

Nomzamo was quick to defend herself, taking to social media to detail how the picture came about. The was also masses of fans that came to her defense, arguing that the picture shouldn’t cloud all the work that she’s done to advance women empowerment.

The ANC further distanced themselves from the disgraced Kwaito artist, stating that he was not invited to the manifesto. “The African National Congress condemns the conduct of Arthur Mafokate at its Manifesto Launch rally on 12 January 2019 when he stormed the stage uninvited and caused undue mayhem. While the ANC has worked with and supported Mafokate over many years, however, reports of his alleged abusive conduct towards a female accomplice go against the values and policies of the ANC which denounce gender-based violence,” the ANC said in a statement.

Will Black Twitter ever give Nomzamo a break? Is her apology accepted? Leave a comment below and continue the conversation.

Nomuzi Slammed For Fake Car Crash Social Campaign

Nomuzi’s shocking fake car crash has been explained as an initiative aimed at raising awareness of the potentially fatal effects on drinking, texting and driving.

Nomuzi Mabena found herself enduring throes of backlash on Friday.

The public counterblast followed a shocking publicity stunt staged by the V-Entertainment TV presenter and rapper, who on Thursday left fans chilled when her Instagram live stream appeared to end in a car crash.

The live stream features a decidedly inebriated Nomuzi interacting live with her followers as she announced that she would be soon accepting aspirant artists on her record label. The clip was taken in Nomuzi’s car after a date night with her boyfriend Sbu, who also happens to be her manager. The end of the ‘stream’ is a disturbing crash that left the country sending out prayers throughout the night and in the early hours on Friday.

While other fans reported having cross-nighted due to anxiety and fear for her life, Moozlie’s team kept mum for the better part of Friday. We now know that the silence was part of a carefully orchestrated campaign to shock fans and “spark a dialogue” about drinking and driving.

In what we now also know to be backpaddling from what was meant to be a full 48 hours of ghosting the nation, Mabena dished out an explanation of how the whole thing was a brand publicity move aimed at raising awareness against drinking and driving. Turns out the fake crash was a conceptual partnership between the rapper, Volkswagen and their Drive Dry campaign.

“We don’t want to see another year where thousands 0f lives are lost on our roads because of drinking and driving”, she wrote in a statement published on her social platforms.

But while the Vatel hitmaker explained that the intention of the traumatic clip was “never to distress any fans, friends or family”, the stunt was harshly criticised for being insensitive and potentially triggering for those who’ve had to recover from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that resulted from car accidents, those who’ve lost loved ones in tragic accidents under similar circumstances, and countless other instances where the advert could have opened have caused serious psychological harm.

The other side of the raging debate has focused on how the campaign has really championed a discussion about driving under the influence.

Your thoughts on the campaign?

Did they take it too far or was it a good initiative to talk about the very real, and very serious incidents of driving under the influence and allowing ourselves to be distracted by social media, thereby putting not only ourselves but other drivers in danger?
