We are getting a South African version of Dancing With The Stars!
M-Net on Thursday announced that they will be adding the hit variety show on their schedule at the start of 2018. Some of the most outstanding Latin and Ballroom dancers will be partnered with Mzansi celebrities to compete in the local interpretation of the BBC Worldwide format.
Viewers will be thrilled to know that plenty of cha-cha-cha’s, glamorous costumes and extravagant performances will premiere on the channel on Sunday, February 4th, 2018!
But while there’s still no word on the identity of the celebrities who will be putting their best foot forward on the upcoming show, bubbly media personality Tracey Lange, as well as sexy musical theatre, actor and model Chris Jaftha will be the presenters.
The two couldn’t be more thrilled about their upcoming co-piloting duties.
“I can’t begin to describe my excitement at the thought of being part of a show of this stature,” Tracey said in a statement.
“Hosting Dancing With The Stars SA is better than a dream come true and I feel that it’s made for me: a show that entertains and allows us to make people happy through the magic of dance. Viewers will also get to glimpse a side of our favourite local celebrities that we never get to see.”
Chris shares his co-host’s sentiments: “I’m thrilled to be a part of what is to be a first for M-Net and a format that has entertained audiences across the globe for years. I still don’t think we’ve grasped how big it’s going to be! And I can’t wait to be working with my co-host Tracey Lange.”
