Nasty C No Longer Most Nominated For SAMAs After Two Disqualifications

South African Celebrity/Entertainment News

The SAMAs on Wednesday announced that two of Nasty C’s nominations have been disqualified as they do not meet criteria for the Best Music Video category.

The RiSA/SAMA office explain in a press release that the two nominations for the rapper’s music videos Good Girls and Don’t Do It the Best Music Video category have been scrapped because they were not flighted before the closing date of the entries, which was the 31st of January as required by SAMA rules.

Although the videos were submitted for entry on January 24th, for this reason they are not legible for nomination at the upcoming event, set to be held at Sun City in May.

The SAMA office were just as blindsided by this development.

“We have always trusted that all music videos submitted for this category to us have already been flighted by broadcasters during the specified entry period of the SAMAs entries”, the office states in a press release.
