Nasty C‘s highly anticipated debut album Bad Hair, was due to hit the shelves on Friday, September 23. But the Hell Naw rapper left fans startled when he announced that the album will not being seeing the light of day as initially scheduled, due to sampling rights issues.
Nasty C’s first studio album is the most anticipated body of work in South Africa, so its unsurprising that the wait has been that hectic. But some fans felt thrown under the bus when he revealed just a day before that the album will be getting pushed.
While some fans were sympathetic to the issue, others expressed much disappointment that they would not be listening to their favourite rapper’s first mainstream studio body of week in the weekend.
“Unfortunately, due to a delay in sample clearance “BadHair” won’t be released tomorrow, my sincerest apologies to all, especially the FANILY”

“Cum on dude we were waiting” one fan shot back in the comments section of the disappointing post on Instagram. That sums up the understandable reaction from fans who have in the weeks leading up to the expected release vowed to make the album hit platinum within its first week of release.
If that happened, as many have been suggesting it might, Nasty C would have made history. Bad Hair would have become the first South African debut album to hit platinum within the first 7 days of its availability to the public.
Nasty C has not commented any further on the album delay, so fans are still left regarding new release dates.
