In totally less terrifying news than the kinds of stuff we have become accustomed to hearing lately, Pharell is in the country again blessing the masses with not only his live performances, but also the sight of his so un-ageing self! As part of his campaign with giant retail store Woolworths, Williams gave a stellar performance to some lucky mortals last night in Cape Town. That came after a full afternoon of taking selfies at the V&A Waterfront with even luckier humans in the Mother City.
It was announced earlier this year that the singer would be partnering with Woolies as part of their initiative to be considerate towards nature in their clothing business and all that goes on with that. Woolies confirmed earlier on in the year that taking the Grammy award winning global superstar on board their mission to align their values and take action that will result in making a difference in the lives of people and the planet.
He joined in as the Style Director whose responsibilities include overseeing several sustainability centred projects.
Ian Moir, Woolies CEO, explained the collaboration:
“Pharrell is a global icon for social cohesion, advancement through education and environmental awareness – these same values lie at the heart of our business and form the foundation on which this partnership is built. We hope Pharrell will help us make sustainability cool for the next generation of South Africans and help us create a better future for our children, our country and our planet.”
