Cassper Nyovest has kept his promise to donate money to the victims of xenophobic violence that has rampaged parts of South Africa in recent weeks. We had reported of threats of retaliation by a few Zimbabwean contingent leveled at Cassper where he was warned against performing on the 25 April in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
Despite these warnings and his mother’s advice, Nyovest said he would perform for his fans and donate proceeds of the concert to the victims of xenophobia.
Cassper took to social network to share the news; “Did my part in helping the world today. I donated R 100,000 through my company @familytreemediaza to rebuilding post xenophobia. We starting up sustainable businesses for victims which will not only help them rebuild but also create opportunities for them to help others.
“I don’t have all the solutions but I’m sure we can make things better by working together,” Cassper humbly stated.
