What Is It?

Say hello to the cabbage soup diet. With this eating plan, you can cut off as much as 4 kg in just 7 days!

Look, be warned: the soup will suck after a couple of days. You will be farting up a storm, feel light headed and even nauscious from what will go from being the smell- to being the ‘stench’ of cabbage. BUT, it helps that the diet may NOT be followed for a period lasting longer than 7 days (with at least 2 weeks in between another go).

In the 7 days, all you consume is the cabbage soup, veggies and fruits. And a lot of water to help flush out toxins. Besides, you should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water anyway.

Here is the Detailed Plan:

Day One: The Soup + unlimited amounts of fruits throughout the day. No bananas though, they are still the devil.

Day Two: The Soup + unlimited amounts of vegetables (with no starch) and no fruits.

Day Three: Now you can have both fruits and vegetables with the soup

Day Four: Finally you can have bananas. Up to 8, with some milk. With the soup, water and nothing else.

Day Five: You are getting there and something nice is allowed now. Beef (Or baked skinless chicken) and tomatoes.

Day Six: Beef and veggies now.

Day Seven: Last Day, Brown rice, fruit juice and veggies. And you are about 4 kg’s lighter!

Recipe

 2 large yellow or white onions

1 or 2 garlic cloves

green peppers

1 or 2 cans of tomatoes(diced or whole)

carrots

1 container (10 oz. or so) mushrooms

1 bunch of celery

Half a head of cabbage

Limitations

Crash diets are a good way to lose weight quickly, for stuff like an upcoming event or to kick start a long term diet. Most of the weight lost is water, so you will likely gain most of it the minute normal eating resumes.

The soup is pretty bland and boring and can get tiring pretty quick, although other spicy and more tolerable variations have emerged over the years. Some people who have gone on this diet have also reported light headedness, nauscious, loss of energy, poor concentration levels and sometimes, headaches. So approach with caution, consult a doctor if you must.
